If there are any kitchen appliances that look as good as those from SMEG, we sure haven't seen them. SMEG is an Italian company (SMEG stands for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla) inspired by the aesthetic of the 1950s to create unique, retro-style appliances that look beautiful and perform beautifully. Not just pretty faces, SMEG appliances feature rugged steel bodies with stainless-steel and polished chrome fittings and details, and although the style may be retro, the features are thoroughly up to date.
The SMEG blender features a 600-watt motor, that powers up with a smooth start, driving the stainless-steel blades at speeds up to 16,000 rpm. You get the choice of four speeds, along with a pulse function, smoothie and ice-crush functions. The motor is contained in the die-cast aluminum base. The lightweight, easy-to-handle blending jar is made of BPA-free plastic and features a lid with a built in measuring cup. At the bottom there are non-slip feet and hidden cord storage to minimize counter clutter. The blade assembly detaches for easy clean up, and both it and the blending jar and lid are dishwasher safe. 6.5" x 7.75" x 15.75" high.
