The first version of the OXO mandoline slicer was rated #1, with no faults, by Gourmet magazine. So, version 2.0 has to be pretty specail. The biggest enhancement is flexibillity. With a simple adjustment shown on a clearly visible indicator, you can choose from 9 thicknesses in millimeters - from 1mm to 9mm, and 6 thicknesses in inches - from 1/16" to 3/8". You can choose between straight and wavy blades for slicing, and built-in French-fry and julienne blades for additional cuts, including waffle cuts. You can prep like a chef without having to master knive skills, and make quick work of slicing of all kinds, with up to 21 different cuts in all. The spring-loaded food holder features a wide rim to protect you fingers when you're slicing, and it stores on the underside of mandoline when not in use. Plus, its soft, non-slip handle provides a comfortable and secure grip. The OXO mandoline 2.0 features a textured runway that prevents food from sticking and parallel surfaces that let you create even slices without wedging. The razor-sharp stainless-steel blades are angled to cut even the softest food with ease. All the blades store safely inside the mandoline for storage. The OXO mandoline 2.0 measures 16" x 7" and is 6.25" tall in the in-use position.
