This easy-to-use little rolling pin stamps a high level of detail on dough and fondant to make decorative cookies, pie crusts, and cakes. The deeply etched design in the 5.75"-wide poplar wood pin imprints intricate detail into the top of rolled dough and fondant, while the pin rolls smoothly thanks to the ball bearing support. For best results, use a recipe specifically for embossed cookie dough, so the cookies won't spread or lose their design during baking. And,be sure to chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. To emboss cookies, roll out the chilled dough with a traditional rolling pin, lightly dust the surface of the rolled dough with flour to prevent sticking, then roll the embossed mini rolling pin once across the surface, with a firm, even pressure. Cut the cookies and bake them according to the recipe. Clean the pin with a gentle brush, then hand wash in warm, soapy water, and dry thoroughly.
