The French-made Universal Corers from de Buyer are pretty amazing. First of all, there are three of them, in three different diameters, so you can core just about any fruit or vegetable. They feature beautiful, serrated stainless blades that cut easily, with a little hinged hook in the end, to help pull out the cored material. There are even measuring marks on the blades, so you can core to a certain depth, if you want. And the handles are thick, soft, ergonomic, santoprene for a secure, comfortable grip.
