The CDN WT-2 has a 6"-long stainless-steel temperature probe that stays in your meat, pork, poultry, or whatever. The probe connects to the sleek display unit with a thin, 39"-long, stainless-steel cord. The display unit uses large, easy-to-read digits to show the cooking time, the current internal temperature of the food and your desired, pre-programmed temperature. When your chosen time or temperature is reached, the display unit sends a signal to the remote monitor, which gives off a long and loud alert. No more overdone meat! You can even choose the type of food, for example beef, then select "rare", "medium" or "well-done" and let the thermometer figure it out for you. Pretty handy if you don't know what temperature is best. There's even an "almost-ready" alert and an overcooked alert, so you can still salvage the meal. The remote monitor has a belt/pocket clip, a magnet, a hanging loop, and a stand, so you can take it with you almost anywhere. Batteries for both the display unit and the remote monitor are included.
