Vinturi Red Wine Aerrator (V1030)
Price: $35.96  Add to Basket
Let's face it, any wine, red or white, needs to breathe. Any wine that has been allowed to breathe tastes better, with its intended aromas and flavors fully present. Traditionally, decanters have been used to aerate wine. That's fine, if you have the decanter, as well as the time and patience to allow the decanting process to work.

Now there's a new way to aerate wine, one that does the job quickly, in no more time than it takes to pour a single glass. The Vinturi wine aerators are not a gimmick, not a silly gadget. They has been carefully developed and rigorously tested, with a patent pending, to provide perfect aeration right away. Simply hold the Vinturi over a glass and pour. The Vinturi draws in and mixes the proper amount of air over the proper length of time, allowing your wine to breathe instantly.

So, does the Vinturi work? Well, here's a quote from a Napa Valley wine lab, following a double-blind tasting. "The same bottle of wine treated with VInturi was higher in overall flavor intensity and mouthfeel...higher in red color intensity and overall aroma intensity...more true to type and higher quality." With the Vinturi you will enjoy a better bouquet, enhanced flavors and a smoother finish. The difference in aroma and flavor palettes will be noticeable. Your wine will simply taste better, richer, even more expensive (!), with a better mouthfeel. The finish will be smoother and more emjoyable as the Vinturi is very effective at softening tannins. The Vinturi is simple, effective and makes a great gift for a wine lover.

Now, what about white wine? While it is an accepted fact that aerating red wine enhances flavors and aromas, it is a longstanding myth that white wine does not need aeration. While testing and developing Vinturi for red wine, the inventors discovered that white wine benefits from aeration, also. The truth is that white wine displays the same improvements with aeration as red wine - better bouquet, enhanced flavors, and smoother finish. Further, they found that white wine requires it’s own unique amount of aeration to achieve optimal results.

Through extensive testing and development, the internal design of the red wine Vinturi has been altered to develop a Vinturi specifically calibrated for white wine. The Vinturi white wine aerator draws in more air, and as a result of the increased air surfaces, the wine's exposure to air similarly increases. White wine flourishes under this heightened level of aeration. The actual design modifications - and how they differ from the Vinturi red wine aerator - are considered proprietary to Vinturi with all patents pending.

The response to the prototype Vinturi for white wine has been very enthusiastic. People are surprised with the results. Vinturi for white wine has a dramatic affect on aromas, flavors, and finish. Sometimes, the results are even more dramatic than with red wine. Here are a couple of examples.

Danielle Salone, Merchandise Manager at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and Cline Cellars says, At our winery we tout the benefits of the Vinturi, pouring only reds through it, but when we tried the Vinturi white wine aerator, we were amazed at how positively it affected the taste of the whites. We are excited to offer our customers the same benefits to our fine white wines as our reds.

Most people understand the advantages of aerating red wines, yet don’t realize that white wines also benefit, says Tasting Room manager at PlumpJack and Cade Winery, Joshua E. Zanow. With the Vinturi white wine aerator, the tropical fruits of PlumpJack’s Reserve Chardonnay jump from the glass and the more subtle mineral notes of Cade’s Sauvignon Blanc immediately become apparent.
