Made of heavy-guage carbon steel (triple-thick on the bottom) protected by three layers of richly-colored porcelain enamel, the 2-qt. Classic kettle is a beautiful, functional addition to any kitchen. The brilliant colors are highlighted by the lid, handle and pour spout lid, all made of polished stainless steel. Inside the hinged pour spout lid is a Hohner harmonica, which sounds a powerful note when the water inside the kettle comes to a boil. The carefully-shaped handle is insulated by the "air-pocket" attachment, which minimizes heat transfer from the kettle, keeping the handle cool to the touch. The small handle on the lid is similarly insulated and the lid is anchored by a rubber gasket. Chantal's Classic is one of Kaboodle's favorite things and never goes out of style!
