The Orb is really two mortars in one, a large tabletop mortar and a smaller, hand-held mortar, with a pestle that fits both. All are made out of non-absorbent, fully-vitrified porcelain and are dishwasher safe. The pestle is large and comfortable to use, even for extended grinding. When assembled, the Orb is just over 6" in diameter at the widest point, and just less than 6" tall.
