Charleston dining furniture is commanding and substantial. And, it's heavy, too, made of solid mango-wood with a lightly distressed finish. The dining tables feature massive turned legs; the hardware on the sideboards and other pieces is solid cast-metal with a textured black finish. It's not furniture to be taken lightly. The Charelston collection is made in India of solid mango wood. Mango is a very durable, fast-growing, environmentally-friendly hardwood. The wood is harvested only after the mango trees stop bearing fruit, roughly when the trees are 20 years old. The barren trees are cut down and harvested, then replaced with young saplings. This allows the mango farmers to sell the best wood for fine furniture, supplementing their income from the fruit.

The Charleston buffet console, as it's name implies, works beautifully as a console table behind a sofa or in a hall, or as a buffet sideboard in the dining room. It measres 20" x 66" x 33" high.
