This remote probe thermometer/timer let's you monitor your cooking progress from up to 300 feet away! Use it on the grill or in the oven and keep track of the internal temperature of food up to 572 F. You can choose the type of meat; beef, turkey, pork, veal, lamb, or chicken, and how you want it done; rare, medium, medium well, well done, and let the software do the calculation. Or, you can choose your own target temperature. The receiving unit will show you the actual internal temperature as you cook. There's even an elapsed cooking timer if you really want to be old school about it. The transmitter also displays the temperature, and both the transmitter and receiver change the display with every y ½ degree change in internal cooking temperature. You can set the display to read in either fahrenheit or centigrade. The stainless-steel probe features a 40" flexible, braided stainless-steel wire that connecst to the trasnmitter. Both the transmitter and the receiver use 2 AAA batteries, which are included.
