At the same time, a temperature sensor in the tines reads from 130 - 175 degrees F. on a backlit, large-digit display, giving you accurate temperature readings for thin cuts of meat, fish or poultry. An audible alert lets you know when your desired internal cooking temperature has been reached, or the 9 pre-programmed and programmable settings let you cook by rare, medium, well done, etc. There's an auto shut-off to save the battery, which is included and there's a hanging loop on the shatterproof, heat-resistant, ABS plastic handle.
