The lever is banished on Cuisinart's new lever-less toasters. All toasting functions, from the motorized lowering and raising of the bread, to adjusting to the browning level, are handled to by push buttons. The result is a toaster thoroughly modern in both function and appearance. A blue, back-lit LED display shows you the browning level you've selected and provides a graphic count-down indicator of toasting time remaining. Plus and minus buttons make it easy to adjust browning. Buttons control the bagel setting, which provides enhanced toasting to one side only of the toasting chamber, the defrost setting, and the re-heat function. The toasting slots are wide enough to handle bagels and homemade bread, and everything is housed in a sleek, brushed stainless-steel case. The 4-slot toaster features independent controls for each bank of two toasting slots.
