Journey Recliner (CL730HLRC-PONCH)
We're proud to introduce recliners from Comfort Design. A brand-new company, Comfort Design was founded in 2008 with three goals: building comfortable, beautiful, high-quality recliners; preserving the tradition and craftsmanship of American-made furniture; and utilizing sustainable manufacturing processes. On all three counts, Comfort Design has succeeded nicely.
The Journey recliner is shown above in one of the many leather and fabric choices available to order. This stylish recliner gives you maximum comfort in a small space, measuring 36" wide, 42" deep and 41" high, and needing just 20" from a wall in back. Pricing for each order varies by leather and fabric grade and may not match the price shown here.
And here's something else to think about; the Jourrney recliner can become the Journey power recliner. Let's clear up one thing right away - power recliners are not just for the ultimate lazy boys and girls. Sure, power recliners feature an electric motor that effortlessly moves the chair from fully upright to fully reclining. But they have another little-known and very cool function. Regular recliners can be moved to any of 2 or 3 positions and that's great. But, power recliners can be set to any position between fully upright and fully reclining. Just stop the chair wherever you're most comfortable and a power recliner will stay in that position until you move it again. Pretty cool, huh? You choose the position most best for you, a power recliner is essentially infinitely adjustable. The electric power system is a $225 option that can be added to most of the recliners we carry.
What lies beneath the fabric is perhaps more important; Comfort Design uses hardwood frames, steel seat boxes, made-in-the-US steel reclining mechanisms, and the finest high-resilience foam cushions. Each chair is built by highly-skilled craftsmen in North Carolina.
Comfort Design is a furniture industry leader in sustainable manufacturing. Comfort Design recycles manufacturing waste, including leather and fabric scraps, leftover foam and packaging materials. Seat springs are crafted from recycled steel and the fiberfill in the arm and back pillows is derived from recycled materials. Comfort Design works with suppliers who are a part of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, a program that combines the perpetual growing and harvesting of trees with the protection of wildlife, plants, soil and water quality. Seat cushions are made with BiOH Polyols, a soy-based product with a much smaller environmental footprint than petroleum based foam.
