The unbleached beeswax in these candles comes from Oregon bee colonies that are not sprayed and that are nenewed every year to keep them free from pests. The wicks are 100% cotton. Pure beeswax candles can develope a whitish "bloom" on the surface. This is a natural effect, and not a defect. It stems from oils in the wax rising over time. To restore natural beeswax candles to their original honey color, rub them gently with a soft cloth to remove the bloom. The beeswax pillar candle measures 3" x 3" and will burn for up to 34 hours.
