Wicker means woven. And wicker, or woven, furniture can be made out of many materials. Lloyd Loom wicker furniture traces its roots to 1917, when Marshall B. Lloyd patented a process of weaving cellulose strands into wicker fabric. Now in the hands of the Lloyd Flanders company, the original technology has been advanced to the point where a continuous strand can be produced, a material that will not burr, crack, or peel, resulting in a consistently smooth weave. Each strand in the fabric's warp is constructed of twisted cellulose fibers immersed in glue to prevent unraveling. In the weft, the strands are reinforced with aluminum wire for added strength and resilience.

Following the weaving process, the wicker is completely submerged in a resin emulsion and heated to form a flexible coating which provides protection from moisture. The wicker is then contoured over a rugged aluminum frame, and is completed with Lloyd Flanders' Durium finish to ensure years of use. This exclusive process means Lloyd Loom wicker furniture is both beautiful and durable, indoor or out, comfortable in all climates. Made in the USA, in Menominee, Michigan on the beautiful Upper Penninsula.

Lloyd Loom wicker furniture is available to order in a vast array of styles; chairs, rockers, gliders, sofas, sectionals, occasional tables, and dining tables. There are a wide variety of finish colors and cushion fabrics to choose from, too. We invite you to see this beautiful furniture, and to sit on it to experience its comfort. Due to lack of space, Lloyd Loom wicker furniture is not shown at our NE Portland store.

The Mod end table features an elegant leg design and a lay-on glass overlay. It measures 24.5" in diameter and stands 21.5" high.
